In the online multimedia seminars series, on April 9, 2021, Prof. Dr. Miroslav Voznak explained some important aspects of Cybersecurity in Multimedia. The emerging new technologies and the high-speed data rates of the Internet have led to a rapid increase in the use of new transmission technologies. Multimedia networks generate large amounts of data across multiple and different devices in different locations, and this raises important questions about data correctness, copyright, and protection. Cyber security in Multimedia has become an important component of multimedia networks seeking to address these issues. Furthermore, multimedia networks deal with the distribution of large amounts of content in video, audio, image, and other formats, and these networks are open to different types of threats and cyber-attacks.
