9 April, 2021Ambassador of the European Union in Albania visits MDTV laboratory
On Thursday, April 1, the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University (UAMD) welcomed the Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union in Tirana, Luigi Soreca. He was informed about the EU-funded projects at UAMD, as well as visited the Multimedia laboratory built within the project “Development and implementation of the Multimedia curriculum and Digital TV”. Mr. Soreca held a meeting with the Rector of UAMD, Prof. Dr. Kseanela Sotirofski, and members of the academic staff, where they discussed the projects implemented by the university and the opportunities for its further internationalization. During the visit to the Multimedia Laboratory, Mr. Soreca talked to the students about the European curriculum of this program, the training they have received within it, as well as the study experiences in the universities of EU countries. Since its establishment 15 years ago, UAMD has participated in 25 EU-funded projects, 13 of which are currently being implemented. UAMD is the coordinator in two of them: “Accelerating the Modernization of Universities in the Western Balkans including Virtual Technologies (VTech)” and “Development and implementation of the Multimedia and Digital TV (DIMTV) curricula“.
